Make money with your website

There are no quick fire methods to make millions on the web these days but you can earn a good profit with affiliate programs. These pay you for sending people to other sites and/or pay you for the sales that these clicks create.
The secret is to not over do it, some sites throw up banners, links, pop ups (avoid pop ups) etc and wait for the money to roll in. It doesn't work like that.
Pick one or two banners or links (the ones that give you the most) and work on advertising those.
Affiliate links can be 2, 3 or more tier programs meaning you actually earn money from people you sign up.

Another important thing to remember is to keep the topic of your adverts to the topic of your website, it's useless trying to advertise baby clothes on an automotive site.

If you do it right, keep your content fresh and place the adverts/banners in a non annoying way you can look forward to earning some good money. How much? that's up to you. Remember though out of 100 people you send you might only make one sale, so don't expect to get rich over night.

Using banners can be useful as they don't take up to much room, they can be annoying if animated, but that's what is done to attract peoples attention to them.
